The Esplanade Orchestra, led by Keith Lockhart, performed its annual Holiday Pops concert at the Providence Performing Arts Center as part of a New England tour. The program featured carols and seasonal favorites.
The tour also stopped in Worcester and Portland. Lockhart told audiences that the Providence crowd was among the most enthusiastic he had encountered.
